Breast Cancer has affected the majority of American lives. Just take a moment and think about it. I know for myself my sister and cousin fought the battle of breast cancer and won!
Most people know a mother, sister, family member or friend who has or had breast cancer. We can do something about it. Whether it's informing ourselves and others how to prevent breast cancer, living with breast cancer, giving or receiving support; the more we know, the better we can fight this battle and win. One of the joys in life is giving of yourself and what better way than walking for breast cancer and meeting many courageous and wonderful people. Below is a list of a few helpful sites that will give you more knowledge about breast cancer.
Breastcancer.org, a nonprofit organization, has done a research study on Tai Chi and women with breast cancer: This 2004 study was done at the Wilmot Cancer Center in Rochester, NY and the study showed significant improvement in self-esteem and quality of life when compared with the women in the psychosocial support group.
